After the excitation winding is energized, a closed magnetic flux is generated. When the induction disk (tooth) rotates, the air gap magnetic density changes periodically, and eddy current is induced. Due to the coupling effect of the "eddy current" and the magnetic field, a braking torque is generated on the rotor, while on the armature body. The same torque as the drag torque is generated and detected by the force sensor mounted on the armature body, so as to achieve the purpose of testing the torque. In the speed measurement, a non-contact magnetoelectric speed sensor is used to convert the speed signal into an electrical signal output.   This machine is suitable for performance testing of medium and small power motors, automobiles, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, water turbines, engineering machinery, forestry, mining, oil drilling and other machinery, and can also be used as a power absorbing device for other power equipment.

Eddy current dynamometer is currently the domestic advanced loading dynamometer equipment, mainly used to measure the mechanical properties of various power devices. DW and DWD series are mainly composed of rotating part (induction disk), swinging part (armature and excitation part), force measuring part and correction part.
